Hike & Yoga with a View of Georgian Bay

NOTE: Other trails throughout Meaford and South Georgian Bay are available. Just ask!

Enjoy a mindful and peaceful 5K hike through Loree Forest. Halfway through, we’ll be rewarded with a beautiful vista, looking out into Georgian Bay where we’ll enjoy a beginner-friendly yoga session - to connect our mind, body and spirit with the land and the lake (AKA Spirit Lake by Ojibway Indians). Afterwards, we'll have time to relax and enjoy the scenery at the summit. Then we'll continue our hike and loop back through the forest to the trailhead. Such a great way to combine a healthy dose of hiking with yoga, powered by the beauty of nature! Winter hikes and snowshoeing is also available - but all on hold for now…

NOTE: I’m away for most of the summer of 2023 - as a kayak guide with Adventure Canada in the Arctic! As such, availability may be limited - but reach out and ask!

Testimonials

“Definitely do this! It was a great experience. This was my second yoga class and I’ll remember it for the rest of my life. The views were beautiful and we met some great people too! Lots of laughs, and good conversations. Marissa was an excellent yoga teacher who helped this newbie find his form. We were looking for something active and this was a great way to start the day. Bring a pair of old shoes as the trail can be very muddy. Marissa also takes a lot of photos, but definitely bring a camera to capture the scenery. (Very gramable!) Will definitely be coming back!” ~ Daniel

“We had a wonderful morning hiking and doing yoga with Marissa! Marissa was great with everyone no matter what level of yoga they were at . It was my husband's first time doing yoga and he loved it! The hike was fun and the view from the platform was amazing! We would definitely do it again! It is one of the top things you should put on your list of things to do when you visit Collingwood!” ~ Roberta

“Marissa is super welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. She was easy to talk to and shared her experiences and tidbits about the area. The yoga class and location were definitely worth it. She gave corrections and walked you through the poses and anyone beginner-intermediate would enjoy this experience. Thank you so much for a fun experience.” ~ Atousa

“What an incredible experience! An easy hike through the forest to a gorgeous view of Georgian Bay, topped by a sky so blue it was almost blinding. Marissa was a relaxed, happy host, immediately tuning into the vibe and energy of the group. The best part was the gentle yoga on the platform at the top, gazing over my Warrior II fingers and taking an internal photograph to keep me warm after summer slips away. Breathtaking.” ~ Carilynn

“Marissa's Georgian Bay [Hike and Yoga] with a View...was way more than JUST a view. Spending Canada Day on the Bruce Trail to end in savasana on the deck overlooking the Bay, the boats, the wind and birds chirping was the perfect DAY. Life should be all about experiences like this! Carpe Diem with Marissa if you are in the Collingwood area!!!” ~ Karen

“My business partner and I joined Marissa for a hike and yoga after the busiest month of our year as a way to relax and recharge, and it was amazing! Marissa was kind, warm, knowledgable, sweet and a great conversationalist. She lead us in a beautiful and restorative yoga practice and we left so happy and connected. I would recommend this to anyone! Thank you, Marissa! Hoping our paths cross again soon!” ~ Paula

“This is not to be missed. The hike is beautiful and the serenity of the destination spot unique. Marissa gives a beautiful slow yoga class that helped me stretch and relax in this beautiful environment. Her instructions are clear and is friendly during the class (and, of course before and after) but not chatty (I like to focus during yoga class and cannot stand chatty instructors).” ~ Katerina

“Great experience! My girlfriend and I were on vacation in Wasaga Beach for a few days and looking for something to do. This is only a short drive away. Marissa was very friendly from the get-go, she made us feel comfortable. The hike is easy and the view from the top... wow! We enjoyed it very much, especially the calm of nature. Definitely recommend.” ~ Sébastien
